My "Story" Necklace from Simon & Lucy
I have to say that one of my new, possibly favorite, local businesses is Simon & Lucy. It is a fantastic little etsy store that is based right here in McKinney. While browsing the local listings one day I ran across Simon & Lucy and fell in love. I showed it to Royce that day to help him get some ideas for my upcoming birthday, Valentine's day or even our first anniversary. Then after my birthday and Valentine's had past I figured he probably forgot all about it. Well, I was wrong!
Today, Marlene, the shops owner, stopped by my house to deliver my very own "story" necklace. She handed me the cute little turquoise jewelry bag that held the necklace and she watched as I opened it. I am so proud of my husband for being so creative (with help from Marlene, of course) and picking such memorable things for my necklace.

Twelve Inches of Snow = Too Much Fun
Since my last class was cancelled, at the last minute, I decided there would be no better way to spend that precious extra time than with my sweet Rocky. He was so excited to get to play in the field and immediately starting running around in circles so fast he would fall every few steps because he wasn't used to playing in the snow. I had tears rolling down my checks I was laughing so hard. I wanted to take pictures and play with Rocky at the same time, not the easiest thing in the world to accomplish. I was so excited when Royce walked in the door just before six because there was still plenty of light to play and take pictures, this was the moment that all the real fun began. Sally, being the jealous little diva that she is, ran outside with her Daddy to see why he was playing with Rocky and not her. It took her a few minutes to warm up to the snow but when she did, nothing could stop her! She would run, jump, and (in some pictures) fly just like her big brother.
Another good hour of snow-filled fun had all of us completely exhausted, wet, and muddy but we did get some awesome pictures!

Our baby boy...the Kindergarten Graduate
We created this blog months ago and until now, haven't posted anything because, well, where do you start blogging? It seems to come so naturally for some people but not for us. You would think that for two people who love to talk about themselves as much as Royce and I do that we would have posts every day!
Anyway, while procrastinating on doing my incredibly intriguing Sociology homework, I stumbled across an idea for our first post, my sweet little Golden Retriever, Rocky, graduating from Kindergarten this past Sunday.
He had been in an eight week long training class for puppies, aka Puppy Kindergarten. Every Sunday at 1:00 (regardless of what time the Cowboys were playing) we made sure our baby boy made it to every single class and we are proud to say that he was the only one with perfect attendance! We can't say that he was the best-behaved puppy or retained every ounce of information given, but he was by far the cutest in the class (although Harley was a close second). After a long eight weeks, one rigorous final exam, and a "trick-off" the day of graduation, he finally made it--he is now a Kindergarten Graduate!
